Keeping Christ in Christmas. In the Overflowing.

http://RosesAndRhinos.blogspot.comHi! So glad you stopped by!
I'm excited to join the BCW Christmas Blog Tour
where we are keeping Christ in the Christmas season.
That's the goal, right?

Love it or dread it, most of us have had to find ways to survive
the Christmas season without losing sanity.
(Yet. All we really want is to celebrate Jesus.)

We want the season to be overflowing with the Love of Christ.

Traditions. Gatherings. Decorations. Gifts.
Then. Overwhelming hits. Schedules get full. Back to the store for a forgotten item!

Sometimes... What is good gets lost in a long list of obligations.
Sweet friends, take heart! This season is totally redeemable in the hands of our Father God!

May this be our season to be encourage each other
"speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,
singing and making melody
with your heart to the Lord;" - Ephesians 5:19, NASB

May this be our season to adore our Jesus
O come, let us adore Him. O come, let us adore Him.
O come, let us adore Him, Christ The Lord.

May this be our season to sing joyfully
Joy to the world, The Lord has come!
He rules the world with truth and grace, and makes the nations prove
the glories of His righteousness... and wonders of His love.

May this be our season to ponder

“By this the love of God was manifested in us,
that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world
so that we might live through Him.”
– 1 John 4:9
Abba God, Thank You for loving me - enough to send Jesus.
Show me clearly how to encourage others this Christmas season.
Fill our hearts to overflowing with adoration and jubilation as we look for ways
to share Jesus with those around us.
Convict us to love as You have loved us - especially when
we feel tired or mis-budget our energy or time.
Help us grasp the depth of Your love for us as we celebrate and ponder the gift of Jesus.
May Your will be done in my heart as it is done in heaven –
as it was, and is, and will be accomplished in Jesus!
In Jesus' precious name…

Be sure to stop by the Christmas Blog Tour to see how others are keeping Christ in Christmas. Thanks to yesterday's hostess, Marianne Baker Ball, for her 12 Days of Christmas post at Adventures in the Ballpark. A very special THANK YOU to Blogs by Christian Women (BCW) for organizing the tour!

  1. It's so true that we can get snowed under in our to do list during this time of year Aaron. But I love how you pulled out simple things like to ponder, to sing, to encourage, and to adore. All of those things cost us nothing monetarily but we get so much more value out of the season when we take the time to engage in them. Blessings to you and your family during this season.

  2. Beautiful prayer here. I try every year to make Christmas more meaningful. Society woks against that. We must find quiet time to remember the Christ child and what a monumental gift He is. Thank you for the reminder! Hope your holiday season is blessed!

  6. I just found the BCW Christmas Blog Tour today, and I can't tell you how much I enjoyed your post. "May this be our season to sing joyfully" is spot on!! We're celebrating the birth of the Son of the Most High God coming to Earth as Emmanuel, God with Us, and we get stressed out by shopping and decorating and hosting and can easily miss spreading the joy and happiness of the Christ of Christmas. This Christmas, I want to cultivate peace with others and within myself and let Christ's light shine more fully through me. Thanks for encouraging me in my quest to do that!
