You were dead, you know.

Need a reason to celebrate? To smile?

If you know Jesus, take a minute - just 60 seconds - to consider this. 

You were DEAD...

Dead to God.

Dead to anything good.

Dead. 

In chains to death. 

In chains to sin. 

In chains that you never could have escaped from. Full of dis-ease and evil. There was nothing good in you, or any hope of anything good in your future. 

BUT. 

God, 

rich in mercy, 

because of His great love for YOU and ME, 

made YOU and ME 

ALIVE in JESUS!!!!

Dear Abba God, THANK YOU for bringing me life, hope, and a future. Help me remember this today. Help me to dwell on, and fully ponder what this means. In Jesus' name...
